Exploring Monoprinting Workshop at the Bristol Folk House

  • Bristol Folk House 40A Park Street Bristol, England, BS1 5JG United Kingdom (map)

In this workshop, participants will be exploring and playing with monoprinting, a wonderful and expressive process. This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with more experience.

I will introduce the process of monoprinting by showing examples of my work and that of other artists.

I will then demonstrate some monoprinting methods, using themes from nature as my focus. Participants will then get to experiment with these skills, with my help.

By the end of the day, the participants will have a range of skills and a basic knowledge of monoprinting that they can then use at home. They will also have enjoyed a day of creative self expression, away from their every day life!

No printing press is needed.

Please bring messy clothes and a pad for notes and sketches.

I will provide, inks, rollers, inking boards and paper, and an unlimited supply of newsprint to experiment with.

I will also provide 4 sheets per student of high quality printing paper. If students need more of this, it is available at 50p per sheet.

NB Printing is physical and it is done from both standing up and sitting. It is not suitable for anyone with back problems as the tables are quite low.

Prices

  • Standard £70
